Match Preview | Millwall (A)

6 April 2023

Luton Town are heading to south London to visit The Den and face Millwall on Friday lunchtime, live on Sky Sports.

The Hatters are on a high after beating local rivals Watford and have gone seven goals without defeat, while Millwall will look to strengthen their place in the Sky Bet Championship play-offs.

Rob Edwards said:

“It’s the next game and they don’t come much more difficult than Millwall away. Their home form has been very strong, and they’ve been strong all season anyway, home or away.

“They’re a very tough nut to crack. They’re very well coached with very good, individual players as well. It’s an extremely difficult game, but one we’re looking forward to as well.

“The lads have risen to a lot of challenges, really tough games, and some of our best performances have been in those big games. We’re looking forward to it again.”

The opposition:

Millwall currently sit within the play-off places in fifth, four points adrift of Norwich City who occupy seventh place.

The hosts have had a recent downturn in form, the Lions have failed to score in their last two games and have only accumulated one point from those two games.

Dutch-born Zian Flemming has been a standout performer for Millwall in his debut season in English football, scoring 13 times in the Championship this term, including the opener at Kenilworth Road in February.

Welsh international Tom Bradshaw has returned his highest Championship goal-tally of his career so far, scoring 14 goals this season and also netted against the Hatters in the reverse fixture.

Last time we met at Kenilworth Road:

Luton Town came from two goals down to rescue a late point against Millwall.

Elijah Adebayo’s goal began the comeback for the Hatters before Luke Berry came off the bench and secured the draw late in the game.
