The Hatters Under-18s suffered a 2-1 defeat on their trip to Northampton Town in their rearranged EFL Youth Alliance South-East Division fixture this afternoon.

Buoyed by Saturday’s League Cup semi-final penalty shoot-out win at Cheltenham, Inigo Idiakez’s lads went in search of a sixth win in seven league matches and led 1-0 at half-time courtesy of a Josh Neufville strike.

The hosts hit back after the break, however, with a Sean Whaler penalty and a 25-yard free-kick from Morgan Roberts giving the Cobblers all three points at Moulton College.

Next up for the Hatters is a home game with Leyton Orient on Saturday morning.

Kick-off is 11am, so please get down Ely Way to support Inigo and the boys before heading to Kenilworth Road for the afternoon’s Sky Bet League Two match against Morecambe!
