SUPER MOVERS HITS LUTON SCHOOLS

The Hatters Trust community team along with Happy Hatty (Harry was grounded!) joined pupils around the corner at Dallow Primary School last week for the launch of Super Movers.

The BBC and the Premier League have launched Super Movers in partnership to help primary school teachers to inspire children to become more active throughout their school day and enhance their learning.

The campaign is specifically designed to help address declining rates of physical activity amongst primary aged children in the UK to achieve all children engaging in at least 60 minutes of physical activity a day, of which 30 minutes should be in school. Through the campaign, teachers are able access short, simple and effective online resources that focus on primary school children and support national curriculum objectives.

With resources that will help teachers blend physical activity throughout every child's school day and hopefully beyond Happy Hattie and our coaches led lots of class activity on launch day and even got a shout out on the BBC!

James Hatch, Hatters Trust School Sport Manager, said: "Super Movers is another Premier League schools initiative that will complement our Primary Stars project which seeks to use the inspiration of professional football to inspire all to learn, be active and develop important life skills. Super Movers re-inforces our message to schools of the importance of physical activity and its widespread benefits for schools and children."

If you would like your school to take part in Super Movers or our Primary Stars projects, please give James a call at the community office on 01582 561622 or drop him an email at james.hatch@lutontown.co.uk
