MATCH PREVIEW: LUTON TOWN V SWINDON TOWN

8 September 2017

Sponsored by

The Hatters welcome Swindon Town to Kenilworth Road tomorrow as Nathan Jones’ side look to make it three home league wins on the bounce.

Supporters of both clubs are invited along to our Family Fun Day, where they can enjoy a number of activities ahead of kick-off, click here for all the information!

Although recent results have gone against the visiting Robins recently, they still maintain a strong away record in the division, having won both their trips to Morecambe and Carlisle United so far while being the only team to take points from leaders Exeter with a 1-1 draw at home last month.

Jones’ team have been in superb form at the Kenny, however, smashing eight past in Yeovil on the opening day before putting Colchester to the sword in a 3-0 win three weeks ago.

THE GAFFER SAYS:

On Swindon Town and their recent form: “We can’t do anything about their past, we know they’re a good side.

“They’ve got some real good players. A new manager has gone in there and it might take some time for him to get his ideas across. We know they are going to be a dangerous side, but we want to get back to winning ways, that’s all we want to do this weekend.

“We’ve had two very positive results away from home and now we want to capitalise on that. There are two big games coming up for us in quick succession and we are ready.”

WHO?

A fresh look side with a new manager and a big turnover of players, Swindon are certainly setting their sights on an immediate return to Sky Bet League One following on from their relegation last season. David Flitcroft arrives at the County Ground with good pedigree, having guided Bury out of this division in 2015.
