Following the recent terror attack on the London Underground, the EFL – on police advice – requested that all supporters planning to attend EFL matches arrive at the stadium as early as possible.

The rationale behind this request is to reduce numbers in crowded areas and is applicable to all public events taking place.

The UK's current terror threat remains at severe – meaning an attack is highly likely - but there is no specific intelligence to suggest that football is a target.

Supporters attending matches are reminded to be vigilant at all times and stay alert, not alarmed.

Random searches will be instigated and supporters are reminded not to attempt to bring any form of smoke device or pyrotechnic into the stadium.

If anyone does spot anything suspicious then they should contact a member of the club's security staff or local police force immediately.
