Foxes come to Town as pre-season fixtures announced
Reigning Premier League champions Leicester City will visit Kenilworth Road in July as part of Nathan Jones’ squad’s pre-season preparations ahead of the 2017-18 campaign.
The Foxes, who boast star names including England striker Jamie Vardy, Algerian winger Riyad Mahrez and goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel and this season have reached the Champions League quarter-finals, will come to Bedfordshire on Wednesday 26th July for a 7.45pm kick-off.
The Hatters will also host a second home friendly on the following Saturday – 29th July – although the opposition will be confirmed only when we know which division the Town will be competing in next term after the upcoming Sky Bet League Two play-offs.
We kick off our pre-season programme with a trip to our Evo-Stik League Southern Premier neighbours Hitchin Town on Wednesday 5th July.
That is followed by a visit to Bedford Town on Saturday 8th July. Please note that this date has been rearranged from the originally announced date of Saturday July 1st, as a result of the current campaign now finishing later for Nathan and the team.
Our next friendly will be at Vanarama National League South side St Albans City on Tuesday 18th July, before a trip to Boreham Wood on Saturday 22nd July leads into the two home games.
Ticket prices for each game will be confirmed by the host club.
