Hylton picks up PFA Fans' award, Jones nominated for MOTM

Hatters striker Danny Hylton has won the PFA Fans’ Player of the Month vote for February, whilst Nathan Jones has been nominated for Manager of the Month!

Hylton faced stiff competition from Wycombe Wanderers’ Adebayo Akinfenwa, Stevenage’s Matt Godden, Exeter City’s David Wheeler, Notts County’s Jon Stead and Mansfield Town’s Shaq Coulthirst.

The Hatters man emerged victorious in the online vote after scoring five goals in six appearances through February.

The gaffer is in the running for the EFL Sky Bet League Two MOTM, having guided his team on an unbeaten run throughout last month, picking up two wins and three draws – including against the division’s top two – in five league matches.

The EFL said: “Draws against promotion rivals Doncaster and Plymouth underpinned a haul of nine points from five unbeaten games for Jones’ team. Their consistency has mirrored his measured approach as the pressure to make the play-offs increases.”

Also nominated for the managerial award are Notts County’s Kevin Nolan, Morecambe boss Jim Bentley and Stevenage chief Darren Sarll.

The winner of that award will be announced on Friday morning.

Good luck, Nathan!
