STANDING IN SEATED STANDS AT AWAY GAMES

A polite reminder to Town supporters to be considerate to others

We received a number of complaints from our supporters following last Saturday's visit to Barnet.

The complaints centred around the non-compliance with steward and police requests for our fans not to stand and particularly not to stand in areas where they were blocking gangways.

The actions of this small minority within our fantastic support of over 2,000 Hatters fans at the Hive led to some confrontations with the stewards and police, and also with our own fans who found their view of the action blocked by those standing fans.

The issues surrounding some supporters wishing to sit and others wishing to stand are well documented and can lead to disputes where the home club provides no standing option, and this was the case on Saturday.

We would like to appeal to all Hatters fans to be fully considerate of each other – we are all on the same side after all – and to be mindful of obstructing the view of fellow Hatters fans who may not want, or be able, to stand up to watch play if those in front of them have decided to stand.

Thank you and COYH!
