Nathan Jones on the draw with Mansfield Town

Nathan Jones was left frustrated as he felt his side should have gone onto win against Mansfield Town this afternoon.

The Hatters conceded after nine minutes, when Matt Green headed in from close range to give the visitors the lead.

Jones’ side left it late to get a goal back, as Cameron McGeehan fired home from 25 yards into the bottom left corner to level the score, but the Town ran out of time before they could find a winner.

Jones said after the match: “The first goal has given them something to cling to, but in the second half I thought we were outstanding.

“It’s just really frustrating because all of our game plan has gone out the window in the first nine minutes.

“It’s just from one opportunity they scored and it’s not even a good goal, it’s a poor goal to give away from our point of view.”
