JONES DESPERATE FOR CONSISTENT PERFORMANCE

The Town have no injury worries ahead of Tuesday’s game with Morecambe but manager Nathan Jones is desperate for his side to perform for the full 90 minutes at Kenilworth Road.

Jones was unhappy with the Hatters’ first half performance at York on Saturday – a game his team went onto win 3-2 thanks to Olly Lee’s injury-time winner – and attention now turns to Morecambe with the Town eyeing a third straight win in League 2.

“Playing for the full 90 – that’s the plan,” said Jones at his Monday press call. “That level of consistency is what we’re searching for.

“We’ve been playing well in patches of games – now we have to do it for the whole game. That’s the standards we want to set.”

The Hatters take on a Morecambe side who have slipped down the table after taking just one point from their last eight games.

“They have some dangerous players,” said Jones. “They’ve shown that in the games I’ve watched then. Against Oxford it was 1-1 and they had a man sent-off and they went on to lose.

“They might not have had the best results recently but that run of form has to end somewhere.”
