Following their stunning Youth Alliance League Cup victory in midweek, the Hatters youngsters were in action for their final game of the season, drawing 0-0 at Portsmouth.

In an even game on the South coast, both teams had plenty of chances although neither were able to break the deadlock as the Hatters youngsters ended their season in a draw.

Alex Atkinson hit the post in the first half, the best chance of the first 45 minutes, while Kevan Cotter had two good opportunities in the second period. Liam Gooch was on hand to deny two Portsmouth attacks in the second half, diving twice at the feet to keep the Hatters' clean-sheet in tact.

It ended a remarkable, cup-winning, league-winning campaign for Paul Driver's side, who was proud of his side's display, with his side including two 16-year-olds today.

Hatters: Gooch, James, Bean, McGhan-George, McJannet (sub Famewo 46), Brown, Bakinson (sub Cotter 46), Atkinson (sub Hinds 60), Murray, Read, Verney
