Defender out to show what he can do

Latest signing Stephen O’Donnell is hoping his performances will impress the Hatters faithful after putting pen to paper on a two-year deal on Monday.

The 23-year-old defender turned down the chance to play in the Championship in January and arrives at Kenilworth Road with a healthy reputation as an attacking full-back after four successful seasons with Partick Thistle.

Talking exclusively to Hatters Player, O’Donnell said: “I like to play in a style that will see my get up and down the pitch as much as possible, to get crosses in, score goals and assists. Hopefully my defending will be good enough to help us keep clean sheets as well.

“I’ve come to play attacking football, which is what the gaffer assured me is one of the main objectives this season. I hope to be part of a team that entertains the fans, but also wins, because at the end of the day, that’s the most important.”
