Town centre location preferred for Hatters
Following the submission of our Representations to Luton Borough Council offering our suggested proposals to the emerging Local Plan, we are now able to reveal that the preferred location for a new stadium and home for Luton Town Football Club is Power Court.
The site, which is situated in the very heart of Luton with a convenient proximity to the railway station, bus terminus and on the route of the Luton-Dunstable busway as well as being walkable from Luton Parkway railway station, has remained redundant for well over 10 years.
It is the Club’s preference and recommendation that a strategically significant plot of land such as Power Court should be developed for a football stadium operating at the heart of its community, alongside other much needed improvements on the site helping to regenerate Luton’s town centre.
This represents a major step forward in our hopes to finally find a new home for Luton Town and an encouraging development that would revitalise the Town of Luton.
