Boss hopeful of Ruddock return

Hatters manager John Still hopes to have Pelly Ruddock Mpanzu back for Saturday's League 2 game against Tranmere Rovers.

The midfielder has been missing from the Town squad since being substituted before half-time in the 1-0 win over Northampton on 25th October.

But the former West Ham man has resumed training and could return against Micky Adams' Rovers.

Alex Lawless is also back in training but is unlikely to make an appearance, which is the case for striker Ross Lafayette who has returned to training this week for the first time since a hernia operation. Alex Wall and Paul Connolly also remain unavailable.

While Tranmere haven't won in League 2 since the end of August, Rovers are yet to taste defeat under new boss Adams, whose side knocked Bury out of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy on Tuesday night.

"It will be more of a difficult game now Micky's in charge," said Still at his Thursday press call. "It would have been tough anyway but now we're meeting a team out to impress their new manager, who is already having an affect on the players."
