Boss on raising your game...

Did you know that Luton can’t play like Chelsea?

And why’s that?

“Because we aren't as good as Chelsea,” admitted Town boss John Still yesterday.

The Hatters manager was asked the age-old question of whether the Town have found it difficult playing against sides who raise their game against them at Thursday’s press conference.

Ahead of the Hatters’ game against relegation-threatened Tamworth the boss said: “I have a thing about raising your game: teams can only play as well as the players that they’ve got allows them to play.

“With the greatest of respect, Luton can’t play like Chelsea, we aren't as good as Chelsea, no matter how much we raise our game.

“We can get to the peak of our game. I suppose that people would view playing us as a big game, maybe Grimsby as a big game, maybe Cambridge as a big game.

“I’m going to be hypothetical again: in the same way that Fulham go to Manchester City that’s a big game for them, Fulham go to Manchester United that’s a big game.

“But, you know what, it’s never been anything that’s worried me to be honest.”
