Goals for forwards and game-time for Fitzsimons

Strikers Lee Angol and Zane Banton were on target for Boreham Wood and Biggleswade Town respectively in a busy Bank Holiday weekend for six Town players out on-loan.

Angol scored in Wood’s 3-1 win over Sutton in Conference South on Monday, 48 hours after he had helped Ian Allinson’s side to a 1-1 draw with Bromley.

Teenage forward Banton came on as a substitute to score in Bigglewade’s 4-1 win over Dorchester in the Southern Premier on Saturday before starting in the Bedfordshire derby against Dunstable yesterday.

Defender Danny Fitzsimons played 180 minutes across the Bank Holiday weekend but was unable to prevent Bishop’s Stortford going down to defeats against St Albans and Chelmsford in the Conference South.

Winger Dave Martin was involved in both of Bristol Rovers’ Conference Premier matches which saw the Pirates beat AFC Telford at the Memorial Stadium and draw 1-1 at Forest Green Rovers on Monday.

Right-back Brett Longden played in Maidenhead’s 2-0 defeat to Hemel Hempstead in Conference South on Saturday, whilst midfielder Charlie Smith played in both of Hitchin’s Southern Premier games, including a 2-0 win at Arlesey on Monday.
