No selection headache for the boss

His team may have won in impressive fashion at Woking on Tuesday night but Town manager John Still admitted he would change a winning team if necessary.

The Hatters have Alex Lawless and Paul Benson in contention for Saturday’s trip to Hereford with the pair improving their fitness after back and ankle knocks respectively.

With Lawless and Benson potentially available it gives the manager plenty of options for the meeting against the Bulls.

Asked if it was hard not to change a winning formula Still said at his press conference on Thursday: “No, no it’s easy, I just think what I think the team is to win the game.

“If a team is playing well and blasting goals and not conceding you look at that, but I don’t think that’s a tough decision, just pick what you think is the right team for that day.

“Systems are different and when people say on Wednesday you’re going to have a selection problem now, I’ve never had a selection problem in my life.

“I look at what we’ve got, what’s the best team, that’s the team we’ll have today.

“So I never really worry about what’s gone before, it’s what’s coming up that’s important.”
