On this day in 2005 the Hatters beat Norwich City 4-2 in the Championship having led 4-0 at half-time.

Goals from Warren Feeney, Peter Holmes, Steve Howard and a goal from the half-way line from Carlos Edwards sealed the victory.

In 1986 the Town lost 1-0 at Old Trafford against Manchester United in the First Division (now Premier League) in front of a crowd of 39,927.

The Hatters tasted top-flight success on this day in 1958 when beating Chelsea 2-1 at Kenilworth Road thanks to goals from Allan Brown and George Cummins.

Meanwhile, in 1969, two goals from John Collins secured a 2-1 win at Brighton at the Goldstone Ground.
