PUNTING PERSPECTIVE: NUNEATON

Town favourites to win again under new boss

It’s even money that the Town can make it two wins out of two under John Still when they travel to Nuneaton tonight.

The Hatters travel to Liberty Way looking to build on Saturday’s 1-0 victory over Stockport County and Still takes his charges to another side struggling for points in the Blue Square Bet Premier.

Boro go into the match with an opportunity to climb out of the relegation zone, and will be looking for just their third win in 11 matches this evening.

Nuneaton have won eight league games this term but have failed to beat any team in the current top 10 of the Blue Square Bet Premier.

Tonight’s hosts are a 9/4 chance with league sponsors Blue Square but it’s the even money about a Hatters win that makes most appeal to continue from where they left off on Saturday. The draw is a 12/5 shot.

Elsewhere a number of the Hatters players look over-priced to score the first goal at Liberty Way. Striker Andre Gray and Stuart Fleetwood spurned a number of chances to score at Stockport, including Fleetwood from the penalty spot. Gray can be backed at 11/2, whilst Fleetwood is 13/2 to score the first goal.

It will be the fourth meeting between the two sides this season with the Town coming out on top twice – both by a 2-0 scoreline. A repeat of that this evening is 9/1 with Blue Square.
