Caretaker manager Alan Neilson has already informed which players will be starting against the Iron - and admitted there will be changes to the team that lost 3-2 at home to Mansfield on Saturday.
Neilson was in also in temporary charge of the Town the last time they travelled to the Amlin Stadium.
That day the Hatters lost 3-1 but Neilson, while aware of how tough it will be for the his side, is hoping for a better result this time around.
"Braintree beat the league leaders at the time, Grimsby, last week on their own patch, so we know it will be difficult," said Neilson.
"Last year we went there and didn't show up, I'll be hoping for a better result on Tuesday night."
