Success on the road for Town youth team
The Hatters’ Under-18s made it two wins out of two in the Youth Alliance with a 3-1 win over Leyton Orient on Saturday morning.
Paul Driver’s side were frustrated by a string of fine saves from the O’s goalkeeper before Ian Rees broke the deadlock for the Town on 20 minutes.
A 20-yard strike from Zane Banton doubled the visitors lead 15 minutes later to cap a fine first half for the Hatters.
Orient upped the ante after the break and pulled one goal back on the hour to make it 2-1.
However, Driver sent on Daril Nwagala and after he was sent through and brought down in the penalty area, Orient were reduced to 10 men and Charlie Smith converted the spot-kick.
