Town favourites to beat Wrexham with Blue Square

For the first time this season the Town are odds-against with league sponsors Blue Square to win a fixture at Kenilworth Road when Wrexham make the trip to Bedfordshire.

Paul Buckle’s side are 11/10 to triumph over the in-form Red Dragons in a meeting between the favourites and second favourites to win the Blue Square Bet Premier title.

The visitors are 2/1 to take all three points back to North Wales with Blue Square whilst the draw can be backed at 12/5. The Hatters haven’t beaten Wrexham in a fixture excluding Play-Off meetings since a 1-0 win at Kenilworth Road in 2010.

It’s 7/1 that it ends that way again on Saturday and 8/1 that Wrexham win by the same scoreline – just like they did at Kenilworth Road 11 months ago when a late Mathias Pogba goal gave Andy Morrell’s side victory.

The Hatters will be looking to bounce back from last weekend’s disappointing defeat at Alfreton but will take heart from winning their last two home games, scoring seven goals in the process.

In last season’s Play-Off meeting in Bedfordshire first half goals from Stuart Fleetwood and Andre Gray sealed a fine 2-0 win and it’s 9/1 that the Town can put on a repeat performance.

Buckle will be able to call upon strikers Jon Shaw, Scott Rendell and Fleetwood after suspension and injury ruled them out of last Saturday’s defeat.

Fleetwood remains at the top of the goalscoring charts and is once more favourite, at 15/4, to score the first goal on Saturday but with Shaw chomping at the bit to resume his Town career after serving a three-match ban he’s the value at 9/2 to grab the opener.

At bigger prices it always pays to side with Jake Howells and Janos Kovacs – two players already to have hit the target this term. Both are 20/1 shots to score the first goal and are worth backing each-way with Blue Square.

Remember you can earn both yourself and the Hatters money by backing us through Blue Square. Visit www.bluesq.com/fans.

Recommendations:
2-0 Luton 9/1
Jon Shaw first goalscorer 9/2
Jon Shaw first goalscorer and 2-0 Luton scorecast 30/1
Jake Howells first goal 20/1 (each-way)

Our tipster is showing a +£14 profit (to a £1 level stake) on his selections this season.
