Town narrow favourites to continue fine away form

The Town go in search of their seventh away victory of the season at Hereford tonight and Paul Buckle’s side are the narrow 21/20 favourites to do just that with league sponsors Blue Square.

Hereford go into the fixture full of confidence following their fine FA Cup win over Shrewsbury on Saturday and are 23/20 to end the Hatters’ run of four successive victories on the road in all competitions. The draw is a 9/4 chance.

The Town only won seven times in the league away from home in the whole of last season, with that seventh victory achieved on the final game of the campaign.

It might be a case of after the Lord Mayor’s Show for the Bulls after their cup exploits against the Shrews  while the Town will be looking to put the disappointment of their draw with Nuneaton at the weekend behind them.

The Hatters have only ever visited Edgar Street once before back in March 1977 and won that fixture 1-0 thanks to a late goal from Ron Futcher.

Blue Square go 7/1 that the Town can win 1-0 and it’s 4/1 that the scores are level at half-time before the Hatters win the match.

The Hatters have two former Bulls in their ranks in top goalscorer Stuart Fleetwood and defender Janos Kovacs. Striker Fleetwood is the 15/4 (just under 4/1) favourite to notch the first goal of the game whilst Hungarian Kovacs is 20/1.

Our tipster is showing a +£13.33 profit (to a £1 level stake) on his selections this season.
