PUNTING PERSPECTIVE: EBBSFLEET

Alex Lawless 16/1 to score first against the Fleet

The Town have been well backed to register their fifth home victory on the spin when they welcome Ebbsfleet United for the last game at Kenilworth Road of 2012.

League sponsors Blue Square have the Hatters as the strong 4/11 favourites to see off an Ebbsfleet side who have lost their last three matches.

Punters soon snapped up the 4/9 available on Paul Buckle’s side yesterday before the price was cut and it would be no surprise to see the Town priced up at 1/3 come Saturday morning.

Ebbsfleet, who lie one place off the bottom of the Blue Square Bet Premier table, are 6/1 to leave with all three points. They won have at Kenilworth Road before, too. In January 2010 the Fleet triumphed 3-2 that day and it’s 50/1 that there will be a repeat of that scoreline at the weekend.

The Hatters, though have been in excellent form and have scored three goals in each of their last three matches at Kenilworth Road. Goals are sure to be on the menu once more and Blue Square go 1/2 that they’ll be over 2.5 goals in the game. It’s no surprise it’s that short in that market and elsewhere it’s 7/2 that the Town score three goals and it’s even money Buckle’s side win giving Ebbsfleet a goal start on the handicap.

Value seekers have a job of finding a good price on the coupon but it might be worth siding with midfielder Alex Lawless who is overpriced at 16/1 to score the first goal. The former York man is enjoying a fine season and is an each-way selection at the third of the odds to score any of the first nine goals.

Recommendations:

Town -1 on handicap evens
Alex Lawless first goal (ew) 16/1

Our tipster is showing a £71.93 profit (to a £10 level stake) on his selections this season.
