Following last week's 1-1 draw against the Latics, the two sides will face each other in the cup replay before Saturday's league match against Kolo Toure's side.

If the match is level at the end of 90 minutes, extra-time and a penalty shoot-out will be contested if neccessary.

Rob Edwards said:

On Wigan - “Against us and Cardiff, they went to a back five and changed from a back four. Then two 1-1 draws so they’ve tightened their teams up from what they did previously.

“We’re expecting similarities to the last game when we played against them. It will be difficult to break that down but that’s when we’ve got to be at our best, speed the game up at the right time, try to move numbers forward and be ruthless at that end of the pitch."

On travelling supporters - "I know it’s a big ask, midweek, long way, especially when we’re playing them again at the weekend. But anyone that comes up, of course it’s greatly appreciated and we want to make sure we do them proud. We know they’ll get behind the lads when they’re up there, so we’re looking forward to seeing those ones brave enough to make the journey."

The opposition:

Since the last meeting, Wigan have bolstered their squad with three new arrivals. Defender Steven Caulker arrived on a deal until the end of the season and was followed by two loans - Miguel Azeez of Arsenal and Christ Tiehi from Czech Republic side FC Slovan Liberec.

All, however, are illegible for the cup replay and could therefore be involved four days later in the Sky Bet Championship.

New boss Kolo Toure is yet to taste victory since his arrival at the DW Stadium in November. The former Ivory Coast international joined from Leicester City where he was a First Team Coach as part of Brendan Rodgers' staff.

On Saturday, his side claimed a dramatic late point against Cardiff City with a 96th minute equaliser from top scorer Will Keane - taking his tally into double figures for the season.

Famously, Wigan won the FA Cup in 2013 - beating Manchester City 1-0 at Wembley Stadium thanks to Ben Watson's 90th minute header. They progressed to the semi-finals the following year and reached the sixth round in 2018, again victorious against Man City.

Last time we met:

It was a tightly-contested match at Kenilworth Road just over a week ago. Tom Naylor had given Wigan an early lead before Harry Cornick equalised in first-half injury time to set-up a replay.

Ticket information:

We have received an allocation of 450 tickets for the trip to the DW Stadium.

Tickets are still available from the Luton Town Ticket Office until 5pm today, however they will also be available to purchase on the night from the Wigan Athletic Ticket Office. There is no increase in price, however any tickets brought must be purchased in CASH.

Supporters travelling are also advised that inside the stadium, only CARD payments are accepted.

He last refereed the Hatters on New Year's Day against Huddersfield Town.
