Hosting the Sky Blues

Our official match preview for Coventry City

Kenilworth Road.

Luton Town are at Kenilworth Road for the final time this season as we host Coventry City in our penultimate 2024/25 fixture.

Matt Bloomfield’s Hatters picked up six points over Easter and replicating the same results over the final two games will secure our place in the Championship next season.

Frank Lampard’s Sky Blues will be hoping to solidify themselves in the top six after defeat at Plymouth Argyle on Easter Monday.

The opposition

Coventry fluffed their lines to almost certainly confirm their play-off place on Easter Monday after losing at Plymouth.

Lampard’s side will require more points in the final two games to extend their season, with a final day battle against fellow play-off hopefuls Middlesbrough looming.

With Millwall and Blackburn also charging in behind them, Coventry will need to add to their 67 points.

Matt Grimes is the man in form for Saturday’s visitors, with the former Swansea City midfielder has two goals in his last three games.

Last time out

Luton finished the Easter weekend by adding another three points to the tally against Bristol City on Easter Monday.

Thelo Aasgaard opened the scoring just after half-time before George Tanner’s quickfire equaliser.

Carlton Morris put us back in front just before the hour-mark and Isaiah Jones wrapped up our second win in a row.

Officials

The referee for our fixture against Coventry will be Oliver Langford.

91 yellow cards and three red cards have been handed out by Langford across his 28 games this season.

Just two of Langford’s 28 games this season have not been Championship fixtures.

Langford last officiated a Luton fixture when we visited Stoke City back in November 2022.

Referee: Oliver Langford

Assistant Referees: Mark Stevens & Hugh Gilroy

Fourth Official: Sam Purkiss
