Match Preview | Coventry City (H)

The Hatters are back in action at Kenilworth Road for the visit of Coventry City on Wednesday evening.

Searching for a first home win of the campaign, Nathan Jones' side will hope to achieve just that against a side they beat home and away last season.

A minute’s silence will be held before kick-off, with black armbands to be worn by players of both teams and the National Anthem to be played in stadiums as we paid tribute to Her late Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II.

The opposition:

Coventry City are yet to record a win so far this season, although have played three less matches at this stage.

Forward Matt Godden (pictured above) has three goals to his name which included a brace against Hull City, whilst his strike partner Viktor Gyokeres is off the mark and will hope to match or better the 17 league goals he scored last term.

Last time we met:

Elijah Adebayo's 14th goal of the season lifted the Hatters back into the Championship top six with a narrow 1-0 win against Coventry City back in March.

It completed an impressive double against the Sky Blues after a 5-0 home win earlier in the season, courtesy of braces from Elijah Adebayo, Harry Cornick and a goal from Luke Berry.
