The Hatters suffered a first defeat in four matches with a 2-0 midweek defeat against Stoke City and they will be looking to get back to winning ways to go into the month-long break on a positive.

The opposition:

Promoted back to the Sky Bet Championship at the first time of asking as runners-up last season, Rotherham have made a steady start to the league campaign.

After manager Paul Warne left to take charge at Derby County, Matt Taylor was the man brought in to take over - swapping Exeter City for the AESSEAL New York Stadium.

Following a 16-year playing career, which included spells with City, Charlton Athletic and Cheltenham Town, Taylor first went into management with Exeter in 2018, replacing long-serving boss, Paul Tisdale.

The Millers ended a winless run of five matches with a derby victory against Sheffield United in midweek, with former Hatter Peter Kioso making his second appearance in succession after missing the majority of the season so far through injury.

Chiedozie Ogbene is Rotherham's leading scorer so far this term with six goals in all competitions, whilst midfielder Dan Barlaser has six assists to his name.

Last time we met:

The last meeting between the two sides was a goalless draw in one of the final matches of the 2020/21 Sky Bet Championship campaign.

Earlier in the season, James Collins volleyed home Luke Berry's pinpoint delivery as the Hatters edged out Rotherham United. It was the first time the two teams had shared the pitch since 2009 in the fourth tier.
