We are delighted to announce that Daniel Douglas has returned to the Hatters to become head of the Luton Town Community Trust, the Club’s official charity.

Daniel previously spent more than eight years as the Community Trust’s operations manager before starting a new role as head of business development for the Bedfordshire & Luton Community Foundation in October 2023.

Having spent just under two years away from Kenilworth Road, the proud Lutonian is back to steer the Community Trust’s hard-working team of coaches and programme leaders as they seek to embed the Club’s name in the town and surrounding areas.

Daniel said: “I’m very excited to start and proud to be in this position in a role that I’ve known about for a long time, having previously been at the Trust.

“To come back as head of the Trust within my home town and the football club which I support and have grown up following is a very proud moment for myself.

“It’s a real privilege and a full circle moment. It's my town, my club, my people and I’ve been a young beneficiary of community activities within this town many moons ago.

“We’ve got a real solid foundation in terms of staff, programmes and initiatives which we are running, and I hope to build new relationships, new partnerships and really grow this Community Trust.”

Daniel’s return coincides with the Community Trust moving into the Luton Town HQ offices, to work more closely with football club staff on our strategic position within our communities in the local area.

Club director Bob Curson, chair of the Trust’s Board of Trustees, said: “Daniel is Luton through and through and cares deeply about the football club.

“He is passionate about seeing the Luton Town badge associated with social programmes in the town and throughout Bedfordshire, and will have the full support of everyone at the club to ensure that happens.

“He will oversee the Community Trust’s transition to become more aligned with the staff already in place at HQ as we prepare for the move to Power Court, and we are all delighted to welcome him back to the club.”

Good luck and welcome home, Daniel!
