Kenilworth Road is 120 years old and to celebrate the birthday of our loveably unique and iconic home, we’re throwing a party at this Saturday’s home fixture with Plymouth.
The Pilgrims were the opponents for our first-ever game at the Kenny in September 1905 and this weekend there will be family fun to be had in the lead-up to the match.
It all kicks off at midday when the club shop and the 140 Bar open their doors. The 140 Bar will be the place to be, with members of the first team squad dropping in for autographs and selfies.
A big screen will be showing the early match, there will be half-price on all drinks for an hour between 12.30 and 1.30pm at the 140 Bar and our array of food outlets will also be open for business.
There will be non-stop activity on the Kenilworth Road forecourt with a DJ, face-painters, appearances from Happy Harry and Hatty and a magician keeping supporters entertained in the hours leading up to kick-off.
If that wasn’t enough, we’ll also have stalls from a range of supporter-led groups. The Luton Town Supporters’ Trust Talking Hatters initiative offers exactly that: the chance to share and re-live your favourite stories following the Town.
Then, get clued up on all things Kenilworth Road on this special day by dropping by at Hatters Heritage, who will be offering a historic take on all things Luton Town. What was the score when we played Plymouth that day? Who has scored the most goals at Kenilworth Road? Come and find out!
Finally, we’re welcoming members of the community surrounding Kenilworth Road who will be sharing their love for the club and the town, handing out free water and treats, and simply adding a united, upbeat vibe on what promises to be a day of celebration as the Kenny turns 120.
