Luton Town claimed their first three points of the season against Swansea City in a solid win at the Swansea.com Stadium.

The Hatters got off to a poor start to the season after only picking up two points in the first four games of the season and really needed a win and fast.

It was a slow start to the game for both teams but Swansea City dominated possession. This didn’t mean too much as it wasn’t long until Luton Town were ahead.

It was after a great corner swung in by Luke Freeman which was cleared to the edge of the box to Allan Campbell who volleyed it low and hard past Andy Fisher to give Nathan Jones’ side the lead.

Fisher got a strong hand to this shot but he was still unable to keep it out as the Scotsman ran off in celebration.

Luton kept the pressure up as the Swansea Cit defence couldn’t quite handle the crossing from Luke Freeman and Amari’i Bell. A great ball was whipped into the box by Luke Freeman to Dan Potts who leapt like a salmon to get his head on the ball. His effort went just wide.

The away side had another great chance when Zimbabwe international Admiral Muskwe robbed the Swansea City midfielder and ran through the left-hand side of the field. He took the shot on from far out but it was well saved by Alex Fisher in goal for the Swans. The first half finished 0-1.

The second half was more of the same for the Hatters as Carlton Morris had a good opportunity at the start of the second half. He received the ball and took it to the left-hand side, his shot was gathered by Fisher.

Luton Town had a second not long after this. Goalscorer Allan Campbell won the ball deep in the Luton half and lofted a great ball to Cameron Jerome. He touched it down brilliantly and played the ball wide to Carlton Morris. He turned the defender inside out on the left side of the box and smashed his shot into the bottom right corner to send the away fans crazy.

That goal was similar to the one the Hatters scored in the 0-1 away win at Swansea City when Cameron Jerome touched the ball down for Harry Cornick whose long range shot found the back of the net.

Swansea just couldn’t get in the game as Luton were really on top. The hosts couldn’t get past the Luton defence and Luton Town ran out 0-2 winners.

A much-needed win for Luton Town who finally get their first win of the season in good fashion. The Hatters now host table-toppers Sheffield United at Kenilworth Road this Friday.
