Defender Mark McGuinness signed for Luton Town from Cardiff City in August 2024 for a significant undisclosed fee.
Mark began his career in north London at Arsenal’s Academy, where he played for the Gunners up to the Under-23 level before being loaned out to Ipswich Town.
He made 25 appearances for the Suffolk outfit scoring once before he departed Arsenal for Welsh side Cardiff.
Scoring five times in 83 Championship appearances during his time at The Bluebirds, Mark helped Cardiff stay in the Championship with an 18th-place finish back in the 21/22 season before going on a season-long loan to Sheffield Wednesday.
He would make 17 league appearances for the Owls as well as three FA Cup and two League Cup appearances before making his way back to the Cardiff City Stadium.
The Hatters centre half made his debut on the 24th August 2024 against Preston at Deepdale, and went on to appear 44 times, scoring three goals - his first being the winner against Hull at Kenilworth Road.
After winning 23 caps for the Republic of Ireland at Under-19 and 21 level, Mark also made his senior international debut during his first season with the Town, starting against England in a Nations League Group B clash at Wembley.
