On home soil with the Swans

Our official match preview for Swansea City

kenny gv

Luton Town are back on home soil this Saturday as we host Swansea City at Kenilworth Road in the Sky Bet Championship (3pm GMT).

Rob Edwards’ Hatters will want to build on the back-to-back home wins collected before last week’s difficult week on the road.

Luke Williams’ Swans are unbeaten in two since coming up short in one of the games of the season so far, the 4-3 defeat at home to Leeds United.

The opposition

Swansea have found it hard to build consistency so far this term, with six wins and five draws spread across their first 18 league games.

Currently occupying 13th place in the Championship, the Swans come to Kenilworth Road off the back of a big away win at Derby County and a comeback draw against Portsmouth.

One of the players that contributed to the Pompey fightback was Welsh international Liam Cullen, who has two goals in three Championship games following his double for Wales against Iceland.

How to follow live

There are multiple ways to watch, listen or follow all the action from Kenilworth Road.

Subject to availability, there are tickets still available to be with us on the day. These are on general sale to supporters with a previous purchase history before 1st November and all Hatters members.

If you cannot join us and are following from overseas, you can watch the game live on LTFC+.

Not at Kenilworth Road and not based abroad? You can still listen to the match live with Simon Pitts or follow game updates on our dedicated Match Centre, which will appear on the website and app home page in the build-up to kick-off.

Last time we met

Luton completed the double over Swansea in 2022/23 with a 1-0 win at Kenilworth Road in March 2023.

Carlton Morris, who scored his first-ever Hatters goal in the reverse fixture, was the difference with his match winner coming six minutes before half-time.

Officials

The referee for our fixture against Swansea will be James Bell.

65 yellow cards and five red cards have been handed out by Bell across his 12 games this season.

Our last fixture with Bell in the middle was at Kenilworth Road against Oxford United in October.

Of his 12 matches this season, Bell has officiated nine of them in Championship fixtures.
