Luton Town Ladies will look to make it three wins out of three at Barton this season as they host Actonians Women on Sunday afternoon.
The Hatters kicked off their Women’s National League campaign with a 3-1 victory over Dulwich Hamlet a fortnight ago, before comfortably defeating Tottenham Hotspur PGA three days later at Barton in the League Cup.
Their first test on the road in 25/26 resulted in a 5-0 defeat to Cambridge United last Sunday, after the Town were reduced to ten players just five minutes after kick-off.
The opposition
Actonians Women opened their 25/26 season with a 4-0 defeat away to Norwich City. They too won their first League Cup game, edging past Maidenhead United 1-0 away from home. Their second league game resulted in a narrow 3-2 defeat at home to Fulham.
Sunday’s visitors are a well-established tier-four side, having spent the previous ten seasons in the Women’s National League South East Division One.
The 24/25 season saw a successive sixth place finish for Actonians, who finished on 34 points with 40 goals scored and 24 conceded.
