Each season the Premier League ask clubs to send out a survey to learn more about supporter experiences of attending matches in English football’s top division.

The Premier League promotes best practice across the league. The survey covers a wide range of topics, including how you follow your club, customer service, stadium facilities and how the club engages with supporters.

This research is carried out on behalf of the Premier League by Yonder, an independent research and strategy consultancy, in accordance with the MRS Code of Conduct.

It was wonderful to receive our feedback recently and learn that in our first season as a Premier League club, we had come out top of the table from the survey of almost 33,000 match attenders from across the league.

Despite having restricted facilities in comparison to other clubs due to our ageing stadium and its location in a residential area, in the opinion of Luton Town match attenders, the Club outperforms the Premier League average on most measures that go into the Matchday Fan Experience Score. Indeed, the Club is the highest performing in eight out of the 14 measures tested.

Luton Town operations director James Mooney said: “It is important for any club to have a connection running through from the boardroom, to supporters in the stands and to the players on the pitch. Anyone watching the interaction at the end of every match this season can see that’s the case at Luton Town.

“The Club has won awards in the EFL for fan engagement and family excellence, so to be recognised for continuing that in the Premier League, despite the limitations of Kenilworth Road and space available on a matchday, is something for everyone at Luton Town to be proud of.”

Luton Town Fan Engagement Officer Lisa McEvoy said: “We have always strived to listen to our supporters and keep them at the heart of the club, so it was overwhelming to receive this result.

“This has been achieved by all departments here at the club working together, and as always, we will continue to work closely with colleagues and supporters to make improvements where we can.”
