Loan round-up | Taylor on target again

Despite the international break, there were a number of Hatters players on duty this weekend for their loan clubs.

First team squad: 

  • Joe Taylor (Colchester United) - The 20-year-old continued his fine record in front of goal for the U’s, scoring his fifth goal in seven appearances in their 2-0 League 2 win over Tranmere. 
  • Jack Walton (Dundee United) - The goalkeeper kept a third successive clean sheet – and sixth in nine games – to help the Terrors to a 3-0 win over Dunfermline in a Scottish League Cup. 
  • Dion Pereira (Sutton United) - A 63rd-minute arrival from the substitutes’ bench saw the attacker make his debut for the League 2 side in their 5-3 defeat at Swindon. 

Development squad: 

  • Josh Allen (Chesham United) The forward came off the bench to help the Generals to a 3-1 win at Merthyr Town which kept them top of the Southern League Premier Division. 
  • Tyrelle Newton (Hemel Hempstead Town) - The midfielder played the full 90 minutes in the Tudors’ 1-1 draw at Worthing in National League South. 
  • Ben Tompkins (Braintree Town) - Another 90 minutes for the centre-half as the Iron were held to a 1-1 draw at home to Farnborough in National League South.  
  • Aidan Francis-Clarke (Dagenham & Redbridge) - The defender made his debut, playing 74 minutes in the Daggers’ 3-1 defeat at Chesterfield in the National League. 
  • Tobias Braney (Bishop’s Stortford) - The striker made his debut in the Blues’ 1-0 win at home to Darlington in National League North.
