Six Hatters have spent the international break away with their national teams in preparation for crucial tournaments in the coming months.

Firstly, young defender Joe Johnson featured in all three of the England Under-18s matches in Marbella, warming up for next month's Under-17 World Cup in Indonesia.

The 17-year-old made his debut and played just over an hour in the draw against Belgium, then came off the bench in the win against Morocco before playing the full game against Korea Republic.

Skipper Tom Lockyer claimed his 15th Welsh cap, his first since 2021, when he featured for half of the friendly win against Gibraltar in Wrexham.

Wales then took one step closer to Euro qualification after defeating Croatia in Cardiff, with Lockyer spending the duration of the game on the bench.

Jacob Brown’s Scotland had qualification for the Euros confirmed when Norway lost at home to Spain on Sunday night.

The 25-year-old did not feature in the controversial defeat against Spain but made an impressive 26-minute cameo against France in Tuesday night's friendly.

Thomas Kaminski’s Belgium also qualified for the Euros this week after defeating Austria, the Luton ‘keeper was on the bench for that victory and the abandoned game against Sweden.

Chieo Ogbene’s Republic of Ireland still have an outside chance of qualifying for the Euros through the play-off stage after defeat at home to Greece last week.

The Boys in Green recovered with a 4-0 win in Gibraltar on Monday night, with Ogbene playing over 160 minutes across the two games.
