Hatters boss Rob Edwards spoke to the Press this lunchtime ahead of Saturday's second home match of the week against Swansea City.

The Town boss gave an injury update on defenders Gabe Osho and Reece Burke, vowing to give them both as much time as required to prove their fitness for the clash with the 15th-placed Swans.

"Defensively, we've got few few niggles, said Edwards. "We’ll see how they are again tomorrow. Obviously we've got Burkey and Gabe, but we've not made any decision on them yet. Normally I like to do by Friday, but sometimes you give things to the day just to try and see what the right situation is."

The manager insisted Sonny Bradley would be ready if required to return to action for the first time since bring injured against Reading at the start of November.

Asked if it would be a case of easing the captain back in with a few minutes at a time, Edwards said: "Not necessarily. That obviously would be the case normally, but the players these days are very fit and once they've been back in training for a while, there's a lot more science behind it these days.

"You can't recreate a game if you're not playing a game, but you can do a lot of the work that recreates the kind of running, the tempo of the running the speed of it. If Sonny is needed, he will be ready."

And ready is one thing the former Wales international knows the Kenny faithful will be, with his side having been cheered off in both of the last two home games, despite only the one point being gained from the second half fight-back against Millwall.

"What we’ll try to do is look after what we can control, and all I know is at the moment for us, there is a real feel-good factor at Kenilworth Road in every game and our fans have been fantastic and are right behind our players.

"If we play with our intensity, our fans will make it a real difficult place to come for any other team and they’ll certainly spur our players on. Even at 2-0 down the other night, they were right with us and right behind us. It helps so much, it really does. I can’t tell you how much that helps.

"If we get our bit right, if we get our intensity and our performance right, then I don’t really care what other fans do or the opposition players, it’s about us and what we can control and the atmosphere we can create, especially at home.

"So I’m looking forward to our players hopefully starting in a real positive way and getting our fans going."
