The midfielder scored his third goal of the campaign in the 87th minute with a left-footed drive from outside the area, which now means his efforts have directly earned five points for the team – having scored the winner against Blackpool and securing a point against Rotherham and now Millwall.

The draw against fellow play-off contenders Berry admitted was ‘important’ as he spoke on the 90 minutes with BBC Three Counties radio after the match.

“It was important for us to get the point because I thought we played really well, we just didn’t take shots and our chances when we needed to. I’ve heard now that their second goal is offside which is a bit unfortunate and maybe we could have had a penalty. At the least, I thought we deserved a point.

“There were chances in the game before I was on where we could have got a shot off but we took an extra touch or made another pass, so I thought if I got into a position I would have a go and luckily it went in.

“Our last two home games – Burnley and tonight – I think we’ve been really good,” Berry continued. “We’ve only picked up the one point but the points will come if we keep on playing how we’re playing.

The 30-year-old has been an unused substitute in the last two matches prior to coming off the bench against Millwall, but nevertheless is happy to see the team doing well regardless of if he is playing or not.

“It’s always frustrating when you’re not playing, I’ve been fit for quite a lot of the season. I just need to keep grinding out in training, keep improving, keep showing that I’m worthy of a start or even more minutes so it’s all I can do.

“I’m not a hard person to motivate. I like it when we’re winning, on Saturday I didn’t play but I’m buzzing we’re winning, doing well and pushing up the table. I’m not going to get all stroppy and moody, I love playing for Luton when I do. I love training and trying to get minutes, it’s not something I get moody about, I love playing for this club so when I do, I just want to do well.”
