Please take heatwave precautions at tomorrow's match

12 August 2022

Sponsored by

With temperatures expected to hit a minimum 34 degrees in Luton tomorrow afternoon, we would like to remind supporters to take every precaution necessary to protect themselves when attending the Preston match.

Supporters are advised to bring suncream, hats and water, which will be allowed to be brought into the stadium in plastic bottles no bigger than 500ml (although the tops will need to be removed to meet ground safety regulations).

These can be refilled for FREE at any of our licensed catering outlets inside the ground, and there are many points at which refreshments can be purchased, too.

So please stay hydrated, seek shade where you can and look out for others around you who may be struggling.

If at any point you do feel unwell, please alert one of our stewards who will arrange medical assistance.

*The DCMS have issued advice on how to stay safe during a heatwave – which you can view by clicking HERE.

  • Avanti West Coast
  • Crosscountry
  • Greater Anglia (including Stansted Express)

Supporters who usually travel by train, especially coming out of London, are advised to seek out alternative modes of transport at the earliest opportunity.
