Peter Kioso said he and his teammates will give ‘everything to get it done’ after gaining another point towards their play-off hopes against Blackpool.

Initially sharing his frustration post-match, Kioso reflected on what could prove to be a key point on a mild afternoon at Kenilworth Road.

“It’s frustrating because we thought we should have been better but at the end of the day, it’s another point on the bord and we’re always on about increasing our points tally. We’re still in a good position, we have two games left and we’re going to give everything to get it done.

The Hatters made the perfect start thanks to Elijah Adebayo’s second minute opener and it wasn’t a surprise for the defender.

“You are going to get that from Eli and you’re going to get that from the team. We were on it from the beginning, we know that we could have been better on the ball, but we were still going to work hard and put in a shift, that’s what the boys done today. We know we have a lot more quality but at the end of the day, we take that, we learn from it and move onto the next game.

“Fair play to them, they came to play. I’m not surprised that they are going to come and play, we have something to play for and if people can try and ruin our season, they are going to do that. We just need to make sure we stay focused on what we need to do and the task ahead.”

With just two league games remaining, Kioso is aiming to finish the season strongly on a personal note and help the Hatters achieve their play-off ambition.

“I’ve always said me and James Bree have a great relationship, even off the pitch. I think he’s a great player, it’s unfortunate what happened but when asked upon, I’m going to make sure that I’m going to do what I need to for the team. It’s the team first which is the most important thing.

“Our focus is the next game now which is Fulham. Whatever happens later on in the fixtures, that’s not in our hands but what I will say, even though we’re frustrated with the quality that we showed today, it’s another point on the board and we’re happy with that. We learn from what we’ve done today, we take it into the next game because there are lots of positives to take from today.”
