Manager Nathan Jones is well aware of the threats Swansea City possess and knows his team will have to be at their best to earn a result against them on Saturday.
Defeat at the Liberty Stadium earlier this season was tricky to take for the Hatters, who created a number of opportunities by couldn’t find the back of the net.
Fast forward to now and the Swans are still flying high and have promotion aspirations, making the match at Kenilworth Road a very competitive one indeed.
“They’ve got good players, they’re not just well organised and solid, they’ve got some excellent players, they have paid the money and they’ve got a Premier League striker in Andre Ayew.
“Jamal Lowe is doing very well for them and they’ve taken someone from the Premier League in terms of Conor Hourihane, so they've got excellent players, they’re a decent footballing side that have got real threats.
“The away game was a real tough game we conceded early which kind of put us on the back foot and then we were probably the better team for large periods of the game until the sending off and even then, we still pushed and pushed. It is going to be a good game, but it’s a tough game, we know that.
“Swansea are doing really well, if they play well and are fluent, they can score and hurt you, when they’re not, they’re grinding out results, so they’re proving to be a very, very adequate Championship side.”
The gaffer maybe able to call upon midfielder Glen Rea, who missed out on the trip to Norwich due to injury, but will still be without Sonny Bradley and Tom Lockyer.
“He missed out on the squad as he just had a sore achilles, so we didn’t risk it as we had Tuesday in mind. Achilles can be tricky, but he’s a lot closer this week then he was last week.”
Another who could play his part is Sam Nombe, a player the manager wanted to see more from and believes he has done during training this week.
“We have seen a reaction which has been good, really good. There is more to come from him, he has to earn his opportunity, but he has to be guided into that opportunity as well, so it’s a big onus on us as well as on him, but we’ve seen a reaction which is very pleasing.”
