Since the hattersheritage.co.uk website was launched last November, 13 full seasons have been added to the archive.
The site contains scans of full programmes, match reports and match action photos, a profile and ‘head and shoulders’ photo of every post-war player, a complete copy of the ‘Full Record’ book with updates, as well as player stats of every competitive match since 1885, various items of memorabilia and many other ‘Features’.
Some may not be aware that we have our own You-Tube channel, accessed via the website, showcasing an interview with former England and Hatters goalkeeper Ron Baynham, a video taken at one of our roadshows featuring the inimitable Kirk ‘Basher’ Stephens, an audio of events surrounding our Littlewoods Cup win in 1988, highlights from that game, highlights of the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy final, match action from the 50s, 60s and 70s, the 125th anniversary dinner and all the goals from our Conference winning campaign.
At the end of this month we hope to add seasons 1949-50, 1950-51, 1975-76 and 1976-77 and with lockdown hopefully coming to an end more items of memorabilia will be professionally photographed. We'll also be adding more interviews with former players and supporters and with over 80 large scrapbooks having been photographed, many more match reports and press articles from the past will be shared.
We also intend to re-introduce our popular ‘social evenings’.
