Watch | Reece Burke's Fulham reaction

Defender Reece Burke felt on another day the Hatters could have taken more than a point after a pulsating match against Fulham.

After going behind to Aleksandar Mitrovic’s 22nd league goal of the season, Town forward Elijah Adebayo replied in the second half with his tenth goal of the campaign.

It was an end-to-end encounter, and the league leaders were made aware they had a battle on their hands as Burke admitted, “this isn’t an easy place to come. I think for us we can be disappointed in a way because we conceded from a set-play and maybe should have done better with that.

"Overall, we had the better chances and I think we played well today, maybe deserved a little bit more. But as I say, Fulham are a top team, and you will take a point.

I think after the goal the gaffer changed the shape a bit and it worked well for us and from then we were on the front foot. They did have a few little spells but overall we were right at it, high pressing, kept winning the ball and we were creating chances.

“Second half we had a few very good chances and the goal – great ball from James Bree and great finish from Elijah, which is what he does best.”

After helping the Hatters to an unbeaten start in a busy December period, Burke hopes to remain in the side and help as much as he can if continued to be selected.

On his personal performance, the 25-year-old said: “We have great competition and that makes a good team because everyone is pushing each other on. You can’t dwell on it, you just have to keep doing the right things in training and hopefully get your chance. I’m enjoying playing at the minute and hopefully that carries on.”
