We are truly sorry to confirm that our club captain, Sonny Bradley, has suffered the tragic loss of his father Ray at the age of 57.

Sonny has missed the Hatters’ last two matches to be with his family at such a difficult time, with the full backing and support of manager Nathan Jones and his team-mates.

Like his son, Ray was a popular figure among the Town supporters who knew him having been a regular in the Bobbers Club before home matches since Sonny joined in the summer of 2018, and a friendly face on the terraces at away games too.

Bobbers Travel Club sponsor Sonny’s kit and just ten days ago in an interview for the BTC Zoom TV Show, he spoke lovingly of how his dad and mum Angie had been his biggest influence on his career and life for the work ethic they both showed to allow him to pursue his dream of being a professional footballer, and for travelling from their home in Hull to all of his matches.

The love and thoughts of everyone at Kenilworth Road are with all of the Bradley family at this difficult time, and Sonny knows his LTFC family is here for him when he is ready to return.

Rest in peace, Ray.
