Muswell Hill-born defensive midfielder Piesold joined the Tottenham Hotspur academy when he was seven years old. He left Spurs and was playing for Dunstable Town before he signed a contract with the Hatters in January 2022 after an extended trial. Piesold was also an unused substitute for the Emirates FA Cup Fourth Round replay at Grimsby. An unused substitute in the Premier League in 2023/24, Axel was loaned to Northern Ireland’s Cliftonville in the summer of 2024.
