Watch | Dan Potts on the 0-0 draw at Coventry last night

Hatters left-back Dan Potts took time out to praise Sonny Bradley for his performance in last night's goalless draw against Coventry at St Andrew's, with the skipper returning to action after his father Ray sadly passed away last week.

"I wanted to make a mention for Sonny," said Potts. "What he's gone through the last week, he was no different tonight. He led by example, same Sonny that I've played with for years.

"So that performance there that we all put in was definitely for him as well. Credit to him too for the performance he put in. I'm sure his family will be proud of him for that, so yes, that was definitely for Sonny."

Assistant-manager Mick Harford also paid tribute to the centre-half, saying: "It's been a tough week for Sonny and he was absolutely magnificent tonight, with what he's had to deal with. We all take our hat off to Sonny and we wish all of his family the best. We are sorry for his loss, but he put in a remarkable performance for what he's been through this week."

The fourth away clean sheet of the season, and fifth overall, was also pleasing for 26-year-old Potts who, next to Bradley on the left side of the Town back four, was playing his second 90 minutes in four days after being absent through injury since mid-July.

"We're happy with that, a nil-nil point is better than a a 1-1 or 2-2. I think off the back of the defeat at the weekend, we came here and the priority was a clean sheet. We knew we'd get chances, but 0-0 was the minimum tonight, for sure."

On his own fitness, he added: "Ive spent quite a lot of time on the sidelines and it's been frustrating, to say the least. I've had a few set-backs, but I was back into training last week and I think Rhys has been different class, but he's picked up a knock and the manager's said 'Are you ready?'. He's thrown me straight in for two games in four days.

"Credit to the medical team and the fitness department. They've kept on top of everything and two 90 minutes in four days, I feel absolutely fine."
