Jack Walton has been making his impact in between the sticks at Dundee United for the second season running.
The 26-year-old goalkeeper saved a penalty against Ross County in their last Premiership game before reaching the Scottish League Cup quarter-finals with a clean sheet against St. Mirren on Sunday.
Walton, who gave the penalty away at Ross County, instantly redeemed himself by diving low to his right-hand side to strongly push Eamonn Brophy’s penalty to safety.
In east London, winger Dion Pereira has started where he left off at Dagenham & Redbridge with two goals and an assist in the first three games of the National League season.
A winning start began against Wealdstone on the opening day, setting up the Daggers' first goal by running through the middle of the Stones midfield before supplying Josh Rees perfectly for a first-time finish across the goalkeeper.
Wealdstone equalised and then missed a huge one-on-one chance before Pereira found the winner, opening his body up to curl a left-footed effort into the top corner.
The 25-year-old followed that up with scoring from outside the box against Rochdale before a defeat at Woking on Tuesday night.
Elsewhere in the National League, Jacob Pinnington has made three appearances for Solihull Moors so far this season.
The 19-year-old defender is yet to start a game for last season’s play-off finalists as they currently sit in 17th place.
Finally in Northern Ireland, Axel Piesold has had a positive start with Cliftonville as they have won all of their first three Premiership matches.
Piesold, 19, has contributed to all three victories, coming off the bench at half-time in two of the three games as he builds up his minutes in first team football.
