Midfielder Allan Campbell joined the Town from Motherwell in the summer of 2021 for an undisclosed fee, with his contract at the Scottish Premiership club coming to an end.

The 23-year-old had spent his entire career to date at Fir Park, scoring 16 goals in 159 appearances for the side whose academy he joined at the age of ten.

The sought-after Scotsman made his senior debut in 2016 and was part of the Motherwell squad that reached both the Scottish League Cup and FA Cup finals in the same 2017/18 season.

Campbell travelled south with international ambitions having represented his country at Under-21 level on 24 occasions, the third highest number of all-time after Christian Dailly and Steven Pressley, since making his debut against England in a European Under-21 Championship qualifier in 2017.

He played 40 times for the Steelmen in all competitions last season and chipped in with five goals, helping Motherwell to an eighth-place finish in the top flight north of the border.

Campbell enjoyed a hugely successful first season in Bedfordshire after he picked up four awards at the Luton Town Supporters' Trust presentation evening - including Internet Player of the Season.

His league form was so impressive that he was added to the Scotland senior squad for their FIFA World Cup Play-Off semi-final against Ukraine and UEFA Nations League fixtures.
