Luton Town wing-back Alfie Doughty starred in the Hatters’ first ever Premier League victory against Everton at Goodison Park on Saturday.
“It’s amazing,” said Doughty on the win. “That feeling after the game when that full-time whistle went, it was something that you can’t really describe. As you can see by all of our reactions, it meant so much to everyone and now our focus turns to Burnley on Tuesday.
“The win was coming, I think a lot of people could see it. The performances have been there regardless of what the score was, from the Brighton game to now it’s completely different.
"That game today showed what we were doing every week in the Championship last season, getting the goals and then holding it out, making sure that ball doesn’t go in our net so credit to everyone.
“We know what we are capable of as players, everyone knows that. Everyone can talk about us but all you have to see is that performance out there today, Goodison is a not an easy place to come to so for us to do that today was brilliant.”
